Job Description:
As a Duty Manager at Rockstar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our indoor climbing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring the safety of climbers, and providing exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about climbing and dedicated to delivering a top-notch experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answer inquiries, and provide information about our climbing facility and services.
Safety: Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure all climbers adhere to safety guidelines.
Operations: Oversee daily operations, including equipment maintenance, facility cleanliness, and monitoring of climbing areas.
Staff Supervision: Manage and coordinate staff schedules, training, and performance to ensure a high level of service.
Climbing Instruction: Instruct beginner and advanced climbing sessions to Fun Walls and birthday parties.
Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and supporting climbing competitions, events, and group bookings.
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain climbing equipment and retail inventory.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in indoor climbing or outdoor climbing environments is preferred.
Climbing Wall Instructor Award or higher is preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
Knowledge of climbing safety protocols and equipment.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed over a three week rotation with our other duty managers.

If you're passionate about coffee, food, and creating memorable experiences for customers, we'd love to have you join our team as a Cafe Manager.
Job Description:
As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafe and ensuring a high standard of service. This position requires a dedicated individual with a passion for coffee, a strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal skills. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Support Recruitment, train, and lead a team of baristas and support staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, engage with customers, and handle any concerns or inquiries professionally.
Safety: Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure all climbers adhere to safety guidelines.
Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and supporting climbing competitions, events, and group bookings.
Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory, place orders, and manage stock levels to ensure freshness and availability of products.
Financial Management: Manage the cafe's budget, track sales, and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve financial targets.
Quality Control: Ensure all coffee beverages, pastries, and food items meet our quality standards and presentation.
Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones, including social media campaigns, promotions, and events.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar managerial role in the food and beverage industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Passion for coffee, food, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Food Safety Level 2 & 3 (or willingness to obtain).
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Personal License Holder (or willingness to obtain).
Initially we are looking for this role to work monday to friday 1500-2230, but availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, events or other staff entitlements.(Pre-agreed Only)
