OUR STATEMENT FOR NOVICE INDEPENDENT CLIMBERS

A novice climber describes a climber with little to no previous climbing experience. Climbing independently means climbing without any tuition from our instructors!

Requirements for novice independent climbers

  • Climbers must be registered at Rockstar

We require all climbers visiting us for the first time to register with Rockstar Climbing by completing our Participation Agreement.

This can be done online and only takes five minutes. We recommend doing this ahead of your visit to ensure a quick check-in.

  • Climbing in our High Walls Arena (Ropes)

Novice climbers who are not climbing under the supervision of our qualified instructors can only climb in our High Walls Arena if directly supervised by an experienced over 18 rope climber.

Experienced climbers can sign-in a maximum of two novice climbers as guests under their supervision and they, themselves, must be registered with Rockstar Climbing.

  • Climbing in our bouldering arena

Novice climbers aged 16 or above can climb independently in our Bouldering Arena without supervision.

Bouldering is a great option if you are climbing by yourself, or if there’s a group of you all starting climbing for the first time.

Don’t forget to register with us

We would recommend you register with Rockstar Climbing by completing our short Participation Agreement. This is something we require all first-time visitors to do regardless of whether they are experienced climbers or new to the sport. It only needs to be done once and takes no more than five minutes.
